Talent RISE recognised with Corporate Social Responsibility Award

Talent RISE has been recognised at the 2018 APSCo Australia Awards for Excellence, winning the award for Corporate Social Responsibility.

The APSCo Australia Awards for Excellence are part of APSCo’s global awards program, celebrated across Australia, the United Kingdom and Germany and are committed to identifying, promoting and celebrating best practice and excellence in the recruitment and professional staffing sector.

The award recognised the achievements of Talent RISE, which was founded in 2014 to help solve the youth unemployment crisis. RISE offers education and job-ready programs to young people with barriers to employment, and the foundation works closely with potential employers to source job opportunities for our youth.

“As recruiters, we know that a meaningful employment represents much more than a job – especially for a young person. It builds self-esteem, self-confidence and most importantly it gives young people a positive place to belong and truly connects young people to our society through positive social inclusion.”

In the past financial year, Talent RISE has placed over 90 young people with barriers to employment into jobs. The foundation has also positively impacted the lives of more than 400 young people through initiatives including workshops, mentoring and workplace visits to Google, LinkedIn and other technology companies.

“Businesses have a responsibility to give back to the community in which they operate. In addition to our core RISE team of dedicated youth recruitment consultants, our entire global business gives back by volunteering with youth-focused organisations each year on the anniversary of the date of Talent’s founding,” Nielsen said.

Talent RISE General Manager Roger Antochi said this award is testament to Talent’s genuine commitment to making a difference.

“The Talent team really walks the talk when it comes to corporate social responsibility and giving back. They actually roll their sleeves up to get behind young people and make a difference in their lives, which really sets the business apart.”

Talent RISE currently operates in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Wellington, and has hired two dedicated specialists in London ahead of a 2019 UK launch. The foundation is committed to building operations in each of Talent’s 16 global locations with the goal to impact the lives of 10,000 young people worldwide.
